What does a roster look like?

Each franchise manages a 40-man organization: 26 Major League spots (active lineup plus bench) and 14 Minor League spots, plus Injured List spots for players on the real MLB IL. Active hitters fill C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, three OF and DH; active pitchers are 5 SP and 5 RP. Minor leaguers accrue no stats until promoted to the active roster.

How does the Free Agent Auction Draft work?

Teams take turns nominating players on a 30-second clock; a bid in the final 10 seconds resets it to 10. Bids include both salary and contract length (1 to 5 years). Contract years only go up — no bid can offer fewer seasons than the current high bid, and every bid must raise the salary. When the clock expires, the player is awarded under that contract.

What drafts happen during the offseason?

Three drafts run in strict order: the Rule 5 Draft (December), where clubs claim unprotected minor leaguers from rivals for a flat fee; the Amateur Draft (January), with rookie contracts set by draft position; and the Free Agent Auction Draft (February/March). Each draft stays locked until the one before it is complete.

How do the offseason and season rollover work?

The offseason opens with set windows for Contract Extensions and then Buyouts & Cuts. When they close, the new season rolls over automatically: valid extensions are applied, expired contracts are released, and contract years advance — all before the Rule 5 Draft begins. There is no annual reset; your franchise carries forward.

How does scoring work?

Every league is an 8-category rotisserie league — 4 hitting and 4 pitching. Commissioners choose Classic 4×4, Advanced 4×4, or a Custom 4×4 from a menu of 30 stats. Teams are ranked in each category and the most total points wins. Rate stats are tracked to 4 decimal places. Scoring locks as soon as drafting begins.

What does the $500 salary cap cover?

Accepted Answer

Everything — draft picks, free agent auctions, traded salaries and minor league contracts all count against one $500 cap. You're allowed to swing a trade or win a bid that pushes you over the cap — but a team over the cap (or over the roster limits) has its lineup locked until it gets back into compliance, and corrective moves like cuts and demotions stay open. Cutting a player leaves 50% of his salary (rounded up) on your books as dead money for the rest of the season.

How do in-season free agent auctions work?

Free agents are signed through rolling 48-hour auctions, not waiver races. Any team can put a player up for bid, the same contract-year rules apply, and the highest bid when time expires wins. Auctions pause between the end of the season and the start of the next one.

How do trades work?

Accepted Answer

Trades are open in-season until your commissioner's trade deadline, pause from the deadline until the season ends, then reopen for the entire offseason. Deals can include major leaguers, minor leaguers, amateur draft picks and retained salary. Accepted trades enter a 24-hour league review; a two-thirds veto cancels the deal.

What does it cost?

Each season the commissioner pays a $50 League License and each manager pays a $10 Team Seat. Commissioners can cover any or all seats. Teams must be paid up before they can draft or make lineup moves. Prize money is handled outside the site, for example through LeagueSafe.

Yes. Every manager can view the league's scoring, roster, contract and draft settings in the Rules & Settings tab. Commissioners can also connect a Discord channel to post trades, signings and auctions automatically.
